The Bankruptcy Estate is offering for sale and removal all of the smelter processes, equipment, facilities, and support systems located at the former Chemetco, Inc. site in Hartford, Illinois. Intellectual property, such as drawings, operating instructions, manuals, etc., is also for sale. For further details or information on bidding for this equipment, contact Eric Watt (click on Contacts, above, for contact information).

The smelter process and associated systems were employed by Chemetco to produce copper anodes and lead/tin ingots from copper and lead/tin bearing scrap and other metal bearing materials until shutdown on October 31, 2001. The systems remain intact and are offered for sale as a unit or as individual equipment. The process had an annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tons per year of copper anode production and 10,000 tons per year of lead/tin ingot production.
